What is meant by the term, 'setting'?
The term setting outlines the surroundings of the actors that are being filmed. For example, in opening scene of PRIDE (2014), the setting is on the streets of London, UK.
Despite this, there are two types of setting, and these are 'constructed' and 'natural.' The 'constructed' setting is usually known as a 'set,' which is the most common type of setting used in cinema.
For example, in the opening scene of ET, the setting used is a 'constructed set.' These constructed sets were the only option for directors before the French New Wave (1960's) when only constructed sets were able to be used in film.

What settings do you want to use in your video?
The settings I want to use are a cafe and a train station platform. The settings are in a close proximity, as the train station is connected to the cafe. This would allow the film to have a sense of fluidity and this would attract the audience as they would not lose focus as the narrative progresses.

Why are you wanting to use these settings?
The cafe setting is able to relate to the audience. This is because the cafe setting is a relatively normal and 'everyday' environment.
The train station platform is going to be used as this is a good way of connecting two characters and allowing an 'unknown' to enter a new setting. This is done by creating the illusion that Alex (Nia) has come from a different setting into the setting being filmed.
